I ordered a new Lakota with 23 degree down axles for maximum ground clearance. Can you see anything bad about this arrangement. If you have this type of axle mounting how much clearance do you have under the trailer?

Thanks

Hard to say on clearance as a whole lot enters into that (tire/rim size, framing, LQ tank placements, etc.). The last few LQs I had was 0 degrees offset.

According to this link-- http://l.b5z.net/i/u/6149609/f/Applications_Manual_Complete_Catalog.pdf page 15, you would see 6"-9" increase in height.

I would stay with the standard drop (0 degrees) and go with a lift block from Dexter. That way, you could take the block out for to help with resale.

With that height increase, you will have a higher center of gravity, have a lot of room between fenders and tires that could generate it's own problems, and probably need a ramp for livestock. LQ and tack room will be quite a step to get into also. IMO, Lakota should of shown you the difference.

Good luck!

Actually the increase is 4" of clearance. My wife and I compete in endurance and most of our camping is in some hay field.

And Lakota will adjust the fender placement to keep the aesthetics looking good.
