Hi,I just bought a 2006 Classic trailer and I love it! It does have a couple of issues I need to address. Can you point me in the right direction on how to do the following repairs? 1) there are two cracks developing in the fiberglass roof right at the front nose. What's the best way to fix that? 2) there are two cracks in the kick wall lining, each about a foot long and about 3" from the floor running horizontally. Can you repair the crack or do you need to replace the entire piece of lining? Any additional information you might have regarding the specs on this trailer would be great. It's a 2006 Classic Cavalier 3H gooseneck. It appears the roof is fiberglass over aluminum. What's the benefit to that type of roof? It's my first aluminum trailer and I'm pretty stoked to have such nice wheels for my 4 legged friend. Thanks

Fiberglass repairs are actually relatively easy to effect, and if done as a DIY project, the materials costs are not exorbitant.

There are many instructions available on the Internet. Basically you open the cracks, exposing the layup layers. Then adding like materials and resin, you build up the cracks and usually add an additional strengthening coat above the cracks. It's very much like mudding a dry wall seam.

I don't know what type construction of which the stall lining is constructed. If it is fiberglass, again it can be repaired and if necessary, further reinforced and strengthened with additional layers of FRP materials.

This would eliminate the expense of replacing the whole panel, which really isn't necessary.
