Should we be rotating our trailer tires? If so how? ( front to back or X Pattern the old way)

I've never bothered to rotate, most of the time the tires are replaced at 5 years, not a problem with wear.. Are your tires wearing in a unusual pattern? if so you may have something else going on..

Ditto Retento. Most tires die of old age before they wear out. If the alignment is good and there is no uneven wear, there's no need to mess with their placements.

In our shop when we are repacking the bearings, we'll rotate front to rear. The rear tires on most trailer seem to get more scrubbing than the fronts. This seems to help them wear out closer to the same time.

If you watch a trailer turning rather sharply on gravel (where there is less friction), the trailer will often seem to pivot more over the front axle, and slide the rear around. Thus the tire wear.

But as was said earlier, many trailers don't ever see the mileage to make this much of an issue.
