I've been thinking about getting one for almost a year.  All of the research I've seen on forums is pretty positive.  I think the best way to get one is off craigslist.  At least in the DFW area, there's several that pop up periodically at a discounted price.

Do they have something like that for DirecTV? We camp for several weeks each summer in northern Michigan and would love to have m satellite back at night.

I use the Winegard Carryout and it works great too. Just set it on the ground or wherever you get a tree free area and let it go to work.
