Does anyone have any experience with the quality and/or issues with the Trail-et brand trailer. I am considering a 2004 gooseneck two horse, straight load. I would appreciate any input. Thanks!
Happy Independence Day!

Well I just worked on repairing the lights on a friends trailet New Yorker.  I had multiple opportunities to crawl under and around this rig.  It is in very good serviceable shape and still looks very nice.  It is a 1983 model.

I have the same trailer in a 2000 model and love it. Frame (steel) is still in fantastic condition w/ barely a spot of rust on it. Original floor. The ramp plywood was replaced right before I bought it (which is a somewhat typical problem but inexpensive to repair). Hauls great w/ my 2000 F250 4x4. I've never had a horse dislike this trailer, and most will self load right on. It even stays relatively cool due to the white fiberglass roof.

I would check the frame for rust, and I'd make sure that you have enough clearance between your truck's bed rails and the bottom of the neck. Some of the newer 4x4's are tall and you want the trailer to ride near level but still have enough clearance so you don't crunch your bed.

Thanks so much ...I have not owned a gooseneck, yet. I appreciate the info not only about the trailer, but also about the truck bed being too high for the gooseneck. I was tempted to put off having the hitch installed until I bought a gooseneck and having a friend pick it up for me, but now I am rethinking that.
