I was wondering if there is anyone or a trailer dealer in the Houston, Texas area that would rent a 4 horse gooseneck with living quarters. I'm interested in renting a trailer for 7 days next year. Is there such a market out there or is it unheard of. If there is, what would be a typical rental rate? Thanks.

Hello Greg .. Welcome to the forum...
I can't help you, but I'd like to discuss your point about the market. I don't think a business would get into renting horse trailers of the type you're looking for. There are many issues such as; appropriate tow vehicle, class of driver's license, vehicle wiring, etc. Of course with a high enough rental price, a dealer might take a chance on you.
You might have a better chance with a private party that has a rig.

Probably is.
There is a market for any/everything (-:
I know the "5th wheel" travel trailer rental market survives pretty well around here. Perhaps you could enquire at a local RV rental place, most of us here just HAVE our trailers and use them, so we don't get to think about rentals.
This subject HAS come up before, perhaps a search of old threads would come up with some useful info.

Greetings Greg12,
When I first read your post I thought to myself that no one does that . . . do they? This won't help you out much but I found a place that does, in fact, have a rental program that includes LQ trailers.

Hey Greg- depending on when you need it, I may have one you can use. The way I've been doing lately, I'll probably be staying home a lot. Please tell me you are an AGGIE and when you think you will need a rig.

TX. Vaquero, Yes sir I'm an Aggie. I will be needing a trailer for July 15-21. It's a ways off, but I thought I'd start looking just to get a feel. Thanks for your reply. Whereabouts are you located?
This was an interesting piece of info. The catch is the length of the rental. The MINIMUM rental is 3 months. In my situation, it's better to own the rig.
