$24.00  ... (4) $5 seals and (4) $1 tang washers

Plus a glob of grease and a couple of hours of my time.  Most of the effort is getting off this computer.

Assuming you don't want the mess on you and your surroundings, the cost for someone else to do it will vary a bit depending on where you are.  Here in the midwest we charge a flat rate of $25.00 per wheel for 7000# axles and smaller, plus new seals at $3 to $4 each.  This is assuming that the bearings are good.  New bearings and races will average $15 to $25 per wheel, depending on the axle size, plus $5 per wheel to drive the old races out and the new races in.

Last quote I got here in TX was $200 for all four.

Now, I had to work on one on the road once, and found that it was not as tough as I expected. Very messy, and it seemed the trick may be getting them the right tightness/tension.

I may do my own next time

Jeepers !!! Horse people afraid of a little mess !! never heard of such outside of a show ring.   Must be show people   LOL

Pair of nitril gloves, lots of rags and a can of solvent make for easy cleanup of parts and tools.  Pull the gloves off, turning them inside out and I don't even need soap later.  I get more grease on me from the hitch ball than this job.

But, you get them to tight, like the mechanic did whom I did paid to do them, and you can have some serious issues. I'm glad I did my walk around while getting fuel, feeling each hub, and found one super hot. Thus, learning how to take it apart and loosen a tad.
