I broke the bolts off of mine using it on concrete, It tried to slide when we backed up on it. Probably had 5000# on it. ( It's rated at 15000# ) I didn't think it was going to last long enough to change the tire, could see it flex any time the horses move.... Three 2x6 boards nailed together about 18" long work alot better, cheaper too... Threw mine in the trash when I got home.

I also use boards. 2 x 8's and 2x 10's at progressive lengths. I keep them in my trailer for leveling at the campsites. They are not nailed together so I can adjust to the height that that I need. Have worked great for changing tires too.

Most of the heights that the tires are lifted with the Trailer Aids are `~5 1/2", the same dimension as a 6"x6" construction post. If you know anyone who has built a deck, pole barn etc., there usually are many cut offs left over. Contractors have to dispose of them, some areas won't allow you burn the treated wood.
Two minutes on a band saw, can easily copy the same profile as the trailer aid. Make them about 2' long with a more gentile ramp, profile the cut out to the same diameter of your tire, and you'll have a secure ramp that will last as long as your trailer ownership.
They make great presents, considering their nominal cost ($0) and easy fabrication.

I have a Jiffy Jack for my big trailer (27ft on floor) and a trailer aid for my 2H bp. The Jiffy Jack has seen much use over the 12 years or more that we have had it. It's aluminum and I wouldn't travel without it. The Trailer Aid I would not trust with the larger trailer but it worked great with the small trailer.

Thanks all. I'll just go ahead and make one like was suggested here. I know I have some short 2 x 6's and may even have a short 6 x 6 (not sure on this one). So, I think I'll just go ahead and make one. Thanks again.

I just used mine for the first time last week. I have a six horse trailer triple axle with living quarters. I blew the front passenger side tire. I backed the rear tire onto the ramp and removed the blown tire, it was not high enough to put the new tire on, so backed onto middle axle, still not high enough. Then grabbed hydraulic jack to give a little extra height to get tire on. To get it off had to back off middle tire then on and off front tire. After I was done I was thinking this is probably not the best for the axles. I was loaded with six horses at the time which really lifted the axles having all the weight on one axle at a time. In hind sight I have been thinking I should be buying a big hydraulic jack so I don't bend an axle.

If you carry a couple of 2x12 square boards to go under your trailer's jacks...you can put one or both of those under your jiffy jack which should give you a little more height
