You're best served with a roof top RV unit. I installed my Carrier unit and have been well pleased with it. It's too bad Carrier has stopped making the RV units because of the EPA regs. (They didn't want to reengineer the unit for the required refrigerants)
Check with your local RV dealer or your trailer dealer. If your trailer has a 14x14 roof opening and it's framed to support a unit, you're good to go.

It's not a matter of technology. Carrier does compete in the residential, commercial & industrial markets with the new refrigerant requirements. In my conversation with a Carrier rep, the market volume wouldn't support the added costs of converting the RV unit manufacturing and service. So they exited the market completely.

I agree with Sinful. I have purchased several from this same dealer and have been very satisfied. The Coleman Mach three series has the most air movement ( I think about 375 CFM ) which is pretty good on a RV unit. I am refering to the ducted model. I am not sure on the ductless models.
