I have searched the forum looking for a similar issue. Came up empty. All lights work properly on the 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD that I haul with. It has 7 pole RV style pollak plugs installed at both the bumper and in the bed.For some reason, I have all lights working on my trailer except for the right brake light. The right turn signal works. Initially I was able to get the right brake light to work if I jiggled and messed with the plug in the bed for my gooseneck trailer but if I used the right turn signal, it wouldn't work anymore. After a few cycles of that, the right brake light will no long work. I know the turn signal and brake lights operate from the same wire. I have isolated the problem to the truck. We have a handy plug tester that indicates which wire is/isn't working. There is no juice for the right brake at either the plug in the bed or the plug at the bumper. Starting at the rear of the truck where the factory installed tow package wires terminate I have no juice coming out of the harness nor going into the harness. This means there is something wrong forward from where the factory wires terminate. I am no electrician. If there was something wrong with this wire wouldn't the turn signal also not work? We have been trying to find where the wiring combines the brake lights with the individual turn signals. Not even sure that is where the problem lies. Any ideas what and where to look?I suggested it might be a fuse but the mister says there isn't separate fuses for left and right brake lights.

Did you check the fuses?

Check if you have power to the wire going to the connection of the in-bed plug to the main wire coming from the fuse panel.

don't know about the Chevy trucks, but found that my ford has two different fuse panels. Looked in the book, and found that a fuse could mess with lights. Who knew? I agree, start there.

I joke that we have a tendency to think the worse, and often forget to start with the simple things. Kind of like being convinced a lame horse must have hurt a tendon, and after fussing over the leg, calling the vet, we find a rock in the food. lol

Good luck! Hope its a rock in the foot!

Check the underhood fuse box, I think there are separate fuses for the left and right trailer hookup, to keep it separate from the truck circuit

Chev has separate fuses for the trailer.  Under hood – left side.

I had this same problem with a Silverado HD. There is a separate fuse for the brake light.
