I'm looking at a 2004 Silverlite Patriot with 6 feet LQ to purchase, I was wanting to know what your experience was with this brand of trailer. I had a dealer (didn't sell Silverlites) tell me that you want to stay away from the Patriot Model. Any information would be helpful. They look like really nice trailers!

Q, Silverlites are awesome trailers. I have friends who have one. Good design and good manufacure. I'd buy one in a New York minute, even though the company is out of business. If I remember correctly, the Patriot (I, II and III) is the model without the raised roof, but I can't really see how that is a big issue. Silverlite did come out with a multipurpose 8 wide economy version trailer, but, if I remember correctly, they didn't come out with this trailer until some time around 2008. As far as I am concerned, a good price deal on a Silverlite that is in good shape is a good deal indeed. Hopefully somebody else will provide more comments to substantiate these comments.

I have a 2000 Silverlite Roper III (I think it's a 3 anyway) that I got used in 2002 on a trade in. I hadn't planned to keep it long term, but it's been a really good trailer. Very well made, an overall very nice trailer.

I've owned my 2004 Patriot since 2007 and have hauled it over 10000 miles with no issues whatsoever... I am putting it up for sale as I'm no longer traveling with my horses and will be sad to see it go! I would highly recommend the manufacturer as well as this model...

I have an older Silverlite ( '99 ) 3h that I bought about eight years ago. I don't know if the workmanship is different on different models, but I really like mine. It has several nice features that we like. It has the raised bed area, the bath is at the foot of the bed making it the full width of the trailer, 8 ft slide, mud room and 17 ft short wall. We have had no problems with the workman ship that was done on the trailer. Good Luck

We have a 2004 Silverlite with the raised roof, we love, love love it. I worry that we will outlive the useful life of this trailer and have to buy another brand. It is my opinion that you can't go wrong with Silverlite.
