The windows are made of tempered glass for safety. The tempering process stresses the glass to make it shatter into small pieces. Unfortunately, sometimes the glass shatters on its own or with little provocation.
It should be covered under warranty if it's a new trailer.
The light socket is a different matter. I would suspect either a wrong bulbs were installed or the wrong sockets were installed. Bulbs get hot. The sockets should be able to take the heat.

What is the brand of your trailer? We had the samething happen to our trailer. I had to replace the window with a new one and have the caompany if you need it. These folks handle alot of the middle class trailers: http://statewidealum.com/livestock-trailers-statewide-alum.htm
