I will be camping at Red Hill Horse Camp Livingston, Ky from today until Sunday. If any of you will be there, I do hope you will look me up and say hello. My rig is a 3 horse Legend pulled by a green over tan Ford crew cab. My name is Donna. And for all of us riding this weekend, enjoy, stay safe and Happy Trails!

I really like Red Hill and we plan to go there again the first week of May for a few days. Then we want to catch up with the people in the City of Manchester, KY for one of their club trail rides out of there. We stayed there last spring and met the nicest group of riders. We had a blast.

Be sure to call and ask how the trails are. Last week's tornados hit eastern KY pretty hard. Red Hill is in Rockcastle county, which is right near Morgan county. Morgan county was nearly wiped off the map!

City of Manchester is in Clay county which is a good ways south of there and I have talked to the secretary of the club. So everything is good to go there. They did not get hit.

I must have gotten confused somehow ( I blame it on the chemo, my brain doesn't process things like it should) I sure thought Red Hill was in Rockcastle county. Anyway, I am so glad to hear that they did not get hit by the storms.
Hope you have a great time. We were there a few years ago and had a blast. Take some pictures!!!

Hey, no worse then old age memory. I am sure we will have a great time again. We sure did last year.
I didn't think there was to much damage in that section of KY that had a tornado touch down. I know just north of there was some and then in the western part of the state they got hit hard. Was that where you were thinking Red Hill was? I was surprised to know that a tornado even touched down in any part of the mountains of KY but you just never know. And was glad that our friends in the Manchester, KY area are all fine.

Red Hill is indeed in Rockcastle County. Morgan County is further northeast. Rockcastle and surrounding counties fared well. Our thoughts are definitely with those in Eastern Kentucky whose lives were devastated by the tornadoes. (The Red Cross is taking donations, in case any horse people may want to help out a bit.)
