Looking at an American Spirit trailer. Tell me the good and bad experiences or what to look at. Are they a middle of the road trailer?

I've got a 2006 3H that I've had for about a year.  So far the trailer has been excellent.  No problems and the trailer seems to be built very good.  Ours has the 8 ft slide which I wouldn't want to be without.  The stalls are well padded and there is plenty of room for our quarter horses.  The one thing I would warn about is if you are looking a trailer with living quarters then I beleive they used 2 different companies.  We have the LSR conversion and from what I have read this is the one you want.  I forgot the name of the other company put I read about it here on HTW.  Sounds like some folks were having major problems.  From a quality standard I would rate it as mid to upper.  It's  not a Sundowner or Bloomer, but it's very nice and a lot less money.

I saw one a few years ago. I liked how the welding was done nice and clean. not like the exiss trailers with the sloppy welds.I could do a better job. dont get a exiss. P of S

Gosh Pinto, don't hide your feelings. But in a thread about American Spirit, where do you think it makes sense to bash Exiss? Any by the way- it is generally considered much easier to weld steel like an AS had, then the aluminum in an Exiss.
