Whats your best upgrade, addition or mod? Here are a couple of my favorites

Solar panel and charger, great way to keep batteries topped off

26" flat screen on extending arm, now we can watch tv from bed or while cooking breakfast.

Oxygenics shower head,

AWNINGS!

Electric awnings on both sides of trailer and window awnings on each LQ window are great for camping where there is no shade.

I like my haypod on my trailer.  It's fully enclosed and has a hoist system where I can put a bale a hay up there by myself if I had to.  The previous owner said they once had 16 bales of hay in it so lots of room.  I keep extra chairs, 2nd spare tire, big muck bucket & cart, hoses, etc.

There's a 30 gallon water tank also inside the haypod and my favorite is the water system that comes off of the tank inside the haypod.  It's made where the water flows through the ladder.  It has on the bottom where I can attach my hose to fill the tank or a valve on the bottom I can open and gravity brings the water down and I can fill water buckets, hose down a horse etc.  It also has a pump system where I can refill my trailer or have more power for hosing off a horse.

I looked for over a year for a trailer that had all the options I wanted and this Sidekick has it plus I felt the haypod and water system was a very nice bonus.

The addtion of a bed liner material to the aluminum flooring,  has reduced our weekly and monthly flushings and routine maintenance to almost zero. After each trip, or just whenever necessary,  the top of the mats are cleared of manure and bedding. We now only have to roll the mats back in the fall, and flush until clean. The floor is commonly pristine and has remained corrosion free.

Two more modifications have made our travels more secure. When our tires were due for a change, the ST trailer tires were replaced with LT truck tires. The result has been a zero failure rate, with excellent tracking and handling.

The second is the addition of Timbren enhancements to the rear suspension of our truck. This has resulted in a much more secure and level ride under load. No adjustments or maintenance is necessary, regardless of the weight being carried.

Best mod: Shelf above my mid-tack door where I store my show saddle pads.

Worst mod: Performance chipping my 6.0L Ford. Take my advice, just don't do it. They aren't built to handle chipping.

Edge programmer for the 7.3 power-stroke..... been there 4 years, trips over the continental divide, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado,  whole nuther truck, and it was already a good 'un.  Also the gauges for exhaust temps, boost pressure, and tranny temp.  Never needed to give it a break, but those gauges keep you apprised of the numbers you need to know.

Engine brake or exhuast brake another GREAT mod.

I LOVE the outdoor drink center!  Want!  But I use my half tack for my actual tack.  I should NOT show this to my husband.

thankfully i have plenty of room in the rear tack for my tack. i put a brush box on the door of my manger and have all my horse grooming tools there. since i have a ramp - i have to tie my horse to the drivers side of the trailer and work out of the rear tack/ manger.

One of my other fav mods is the camera that I put in the stalls of the trailer. It is comforting to be able to look at the horses while driving along.

also, I have put a 60 gallon water tank and generator in the hayrack.

You bring back memories-at age 19 I drove over the Continental Divide in a 55 Ford cattle truck with 5 horses on behind. I just knew at any moment I would start rolling backwards!

Thanks so much. We do distance trail riding. NATRC and some endurance. So horses camp a lot, and we tie to the trailer. So most mods are geared towards camping and then the set up of the buckets etc.

On the rhino lining over mats---I have visions of the rhino cracking when stepped on, or mats shifting. If you are happy with them, obviously that didn't happen. What kind of mats and how much rhino? Sounds like something to look into.
