I need some reccomendations for new tires on my horse trailer. I HATE the ones I have now, I had one that's barely a year old literally explode this morning, so bad both rires on that side had to be replaced. They are ST tires but I'm wondering if the tire shop miscalulated the weight of the trailer.... I've had a LOT of blowouts in the last couple years lol.
My stepdad has a friend that runs a shop and can help us get a good deal on new tires but I want to pick them out this time... what should I look for? I know of a few brands I've had reccomended, trying to narrow it down.

Welcome to the forum! The question you've posted is probably the most common one we see posted. If you use the "search" feature you will find many existing threads that will get you started in your search for new trailer tires. If after reading through the already available information you have a more specific question, post that to help you make your final decision. Hope this gets you to the information you're searching for a little faster.

I did do some searching and did find a few answers to my questions....
One of the main problems we've seem to run into is that I have everyone telling me I need a minimum load range of G, but the rims on the trailer are 15''.... and every time I find a tire that seems to fit the bill they start at 16''. Everything that's the right size is load range D and E. I'm about to pull my hair out lol.

Probably not going to find a load range "G" in a 15" rim size... What is the GVWR of your trailer? What is the GAWR of each axle? Are you running the maximum pressure that's stated on the tire's sidewall? What make, size, brand, load rating tires are you running that keeps blowing out? Do you regularly check and keep your tire pressures topped off? What is the build date on the tires that blow out? (just because it's been on the trailer a year doesn't mean it hasn't been sitting on the store shelf for 7 years prior to you buying. Trailer tire life is anywhere from 3 to 5 years.) What does your trailer weigh fully loaded? "ST" tires have a speed rating of 65 mph. We need more info before we can help.....
Maxxis builds a load range "E" 225/75x15 trailer tire that may work foryou... Rated at 2830# at 80 psi... What kind of pressures are your rims rated at 50 psi, 65 psi, 80 psi, 100 psi...?

Some of the "E" range LT truck tires are available in 70 series profiles. If you have enough fender clearance, you may be able to upgrade to a 16" rim, using a lower profile tire than the original 15" tire. The outside circumferences can be similar.
16" wheels have a much greater variety of tire manufacturers and load rating available, than do the 15" wheels.

I cant find where I wrote down the weight values, I'll have to get them this afternoon. It's a 2 horse GN with a 4ft SW tack room, it's also steel so fairly heavy for a 2 horse. My barrel horse is rather large as well.... weighs in right at 1250-1300... plus tack and water tank and all that jazz. I also had a friend's smaller horse with me yesterday.
The tires I had were Carlisles (which I have since my first blow out found they are notorious for exploding lol). They are 225 75 15, load range E... and the 2 spares they got me in a pinch are range D so they've deffinitely gotta go....
Those carslisles were also infuriatingly great at losing air. I have a compressor I keep in my truck and I would top them off almost every time I went somewhere, and I did top them off on Friday night. I can't remember if they are 75 or 80 PSI but I was always pretty good about keeping them full.
I have been wondering if it would be worth it to try a larger rim or at least see if it would fit. I'm going to call the guy I usually use for my trailer repairs tomorrow morning and see what he thinks I can/should do... I need to get it over to him and get my lights and fender fixed and everything checked out anyway.
eta the tire shop had to order the carslisle tires so I'm assuming they were brand new.

Ok, here's all the numbers:
GVWR 3180/7000
GAWR EA. 1590/3500
RIM/JANT EA. 16x6 JJ
It also reccomends 50psi C load tires. I'm confused about this because I don't think it even came from the factory with tires that small and I've been blowing out E's lol

Where did you get that "RIM/JANT EA. 16x6 JJ" from? That's a 16" rim. You said earlier that you have 15" wheels....
You must be buying rotten tires, running over something to pinch them causing them to loose air, overloading them or something. Is there one tire that gives the most trouble? Right rear maybe? Are the axles straight? How hmuch higher is the front of the trailer than the rear when hitched to your tow vehicle?
I have a 7000# gvwr two horse bumper pull, with two 3500# axles that has ST205/75R15 load range C tires (rated at 1820# each for a total of 7280# total, 280# over the axle rating.) that are two years old with better than 12000 miles on them. I keep them at 50 psi cold. I've pulled loaded from Eastern North Carolina to New York, Western Kentucky, Southern Florida over some rough Interstate roads at speeds up to 70 mph. No flats, no leaks, no bump or bulges on the tires and I'm ashame to say they are Kenda Load Star Karrier brand and the run cool and smooth..... I have rotated them one time, why, I don't know, just felt like it was the right thing to do.... They are all wearing the same. My trailer has leaf spring so the load stays pretty much the same on both axles all the time. My trailer may be nose high by one inch while traveling on the road. This trailer never exceeds much over 4750# on the trailer axles which are rated at 7000# for the pair.

It's a typo.. supposed to be 15.
If I remember correctly it's been a different tire that blew each time, fronts and rears, this time it was left rear. And it's never overheating or anything like that... it has always happened anywhere from 20 to 50ish miles into the trip... I've taken it on some pretty long hauls then just want to pull my hair out when I'm taking a quick trip to the vet and my tire explodes lol.
It sits fairly level, maybe off just a little bit... when we first got the trailer I actually pulled it with a truck that was 4x4 and had a lift and it was way more tilted, this newer truck sits way better and I never had a problem at all with the first truck lol. I also didn't have any problems until after I bought my ginormous horse (or I should say after he finished growing lol)... before him all I had were pretty small horses. I've tried putting him in the front and the back to see if it changed much but I still wonder if he's so big it throws things off. He does prefer the front slot though.
I talked to the trailer shop today and they're wanting to check the axles and wheels maybe see if something's off there, and maybe if we're going to have to replace any wheels see if a 16 will fit that bolt pattern if we need to get a better tire on there or even think that will help after they go over it.
So I guess we will see if they find anything or reccomend any other changes.

Does this trailer have 5 lug wheels? If so, good luck finding a 16", 5 lug wheel... I've looked all over H*ll and half of Georgia and I've yet to find a set..... Be sure to measure the space between the tire and fender, too tall of a tire may rub.

First check the DOT code of the tires to make sure you are not being sold OLD tires...Second have your axles checked to make sure they are not bent
