Hello :-) Could anyone tell me what kind of trailer I could pull with a Jeep Liberty? I like the brenderups but they are expensive. Any other trailer work? Just really needs to be a one horse to haul Arabian mare. More for short distances. At the most maybe 100 mile trip but usually for just like 10 miles. Thank you!

I will have to check out what it says in the manual. It is a v6. Thank you I will look. Yes, would love a Brenderup but just too expensive for me unless could find older one.

The colt horse trainer trailers look nice, sent for information. Ok, so this is what the book says...kind of confusing to me. 2000 lbs max GTW and tongue wt. 200 lbs. then says if using weight distributing hitch. 5000 lbs max GTW and 500 lbs tongue weight. ?? So what could I safely pull? Just need this for one Arabian mare. Thanks again.

Thank you for the above information on the trailers. They too look very nice but still quite a bit more than I'm wanting to spend. Thank you though. :-)

it looks like a v6 may not be a good thing to tow with it may damage the jeep. add the weight of the horse and some hay and water and trailer you could be pushing

Even for just short distances? Like 8 miles? I have been interested in the one horse trailer by WW. Thank you for the information, I will keep researching. :-)

You didn't give any specifics on your Liberty. We have a Jeep Liberty Renegade, 4wd V6. My wife uses it to pull a Sundowner Sportsman 2horse aluminum trailer around town. With 2 horses and tack, the trailer is below the listed towing capacity or her Renegade. We only pull it with one horse though, because we have a truck we use when hauling 2 horses. The biggest problem is the short wheelbase. A vehicle about 12" longer would be a plus. A weight distributing hitch would also help. It can be done, but the Liberty is not the vehicle to use for any long trips.

Thank you! That hellya hitch helper looks like it would help a lot. :-). Now just got to figure out which trailer. Like the Brenderup still but not the price. :-). The WW one horse is more in my range and with one of these helper things might be just what would work for me. Thanks!

I pulled a CM Oddessy 2 horse straight load (weight @ 2700 lbs) behind a Chevy Trailblazer with a straight 6 and a tow limit of (I think) @ 5000 lbs. I think if you use a weight distribution bar, you might can pull something like a shadow.. I know the nextrails are light as well. Good luck!
