I am looking for recommendations on a lightly used 2 horse pumper pull horse trailer. I pull with a Toyota Landcruiser so it needs to be fairly lightweight. I just sold my 2002 Calico 16' stock trailer and want a slant ride with a tack area. Any input or suggestions would be appreciated. I am located in Longmont CO area.

What year Land Cruiser do you have?
2006-2007 6500 lbs
2008 8500 lbs
2009 9935 lbs
2010 8500 lbs <---Though I saw a document that claimed only 3500 kgs..
2011 8200 lbs <---I believe there is new testing methods, similar to the Tundra towing rating drop

Paul-any recommendations based on your helpful research?
What size horses do you plan on hauling? 17 hand warmbloods??Get a weight of all the STUFF you'll load in your vehicle and start subtracting from your 6500 lbs max...that will give you a ball park to start shopping...

The Baron is the largest size they have. Its a 2 horse stright load. Tons of space for the horse, limited tack area. Ours tows like it isn't there, bright inside with a really high roof. With our 2 horses (1350# and 1250#) and tack we run over the scales under 5000#.
Empty weight 2250# with a tongue weight of 250#
You really can't get lighter. They are rare to find, folks tend not to part with them, and no longer avalible in North America new.
