Subject: batteries on trailer going dead...

I have a 2007 platinum.  It has 2 batteries that continually go dead after about a week or 10 days even with the switch to off in the battery compartment.  Is this just bad batteries or is there something else I can do to maintain the charge without plugging it in.  It has always done this..

Have you put an amp meter on it to see if it has a draw of currant?

Are the batteries original equipment?  2012-2007 means they are 5 years old.  They may be in the last stages of their productive life.

Check for a leaky current as mention above. But at that age, I would be thinking of new batteries

sometimes if it is not an external load draining the battery and it is still losing charge means that it has an internal leakage problem, that would signal time for a new battery.
