Not me personally, but a friend of mine did and was advised they would get a better price selling it outright to an individual. Of course that is true for any vehicle / trailer trade-in, but she got the feeling that this particular dealer didn't want a Bison on their lot and infact didn't see any.

I traded my Bison BP with no problems. It was 6 or 7 years old. The dealer accepted it on photos alone. Got less for it than if I had sold it myself of course, but I didn't want to mess with selling it.
The dealer didn't have it on his lot for three days before someone it.

lbeasley, I take Bison trailers in on trade almost daily. I also buy trailers. I'll be glad to put a cash bid on yours if you want. Of course you will get more if you retail it. This is not the place for me to solicit yours business, but in that Bison is my number one brand, I must advise you they hold as good trade in value as any other brand at my dealership. I'll be glad to give you an honest cash offer, then you can buy wherever you like, if the offer suits you. DON SMITH, OWNER, DHMCO

I will tell you that they are becoming more popular in this area. I have a friend who is probably going to trade for one. I as impressed with them, right now am just not going to trade.
And, actually, she and I both did spend the day at Dixie Horse and Mule. This is not an advertisement for them, because they have no idea who I am, but they did have good customer service.

My husband and I bought a new Bison Trail Express in 2007 and just sold it for more than we were offered in trade value. We loved the trailer but needed to downsize.
We had a few minor issues with the trailer but I recommend them to anyone who asks and will definitely look at them again in the future.
BTW, our purchase was from Dixie Horse & Mule and I highly recommend buying from them. The purchase went very smoothly and the after-the-sale service was second to none.

I'm always suspect of people who register on this board and if their first post is a specific complaint about a trailer and/or brand it's usually not good. There are ALWAYS two sides - what you see posted on this board, and what you don't see.
I always check with the side that we don't see before I take any action.
If you have an agenda, please don't use our board to leverage popular opinion to your side. Work your problems out one on one. I'm freezing this thread.
