Norcold N300 model. Works fine on electric. Although it does take a day to cool down. Assuming it needs freon ?? Is that easy to add?

For the LP feature.....the safety switch is loose. It will ignite but won't stay on. Do we just need a new saftey switch? Or new thermocoupler?

Ok...nevermind about the freon thing. I don't think RV fridges even have freon but that's what a friend's husband suggested might be up with it taking so long to cool down. I think it's a normal amount of time for those type of fridges.

I have the exact same fridge (N300) and the exact same problem - runs fine on electric but not on LP.  I called a local rv repair place and the guy suggested I use an air compressor to blow out the burner and orifice area.  He said most of the time a piece of rust or burnt material will be clogging the burner and this should fix the problem.  I do not have an air compressor so I took it to the gas station to use theirs but of course it needs to be connected to a tire in order for air to come out so that was no help, but if you have an air compressor at home then it may be worth a try.  I was able to knock off some burnt material with a toothpick and it did seem to light faster but will still not stay lit for very long.  I have a feeling the orifice may need cleaning or replacement but it is very tricky to get at on this model so I guess I'll have to bring it in to have this done.

Please let me know if you are successful in getting in to run on LP and what the problem was and I'll do the same.
