between dr and horse area question.I have steel trailer without a door. I considered putting one in, but the space between vertical support is 22 inches and it's too narrow for any full size door that I've seen, and I don't want to deal with the supports.I think a door could be made to fit the space? I don't know exactly how to do that but would be willing to give it a try if I knew how.The other option that I see is to put in a smaller door - that's fine. The problem is that the smaller doors that I see are the rv "cargo doors" I see a cheap one on ebay of a good size - 22 x 45 which works fine for me, but I'm not sure what that material is - it looks to be something pretty easily breakable. Would it be worthwhile to put such a door in and cover it with something stronger from the horse side? or just forget it? The size is good, just concerned about the material. Thanks.

A sheet metal fabricator can easily move the upright studs and make a new door to fit. The new door will have to have a frame, door skin, latch and hinges. These materials are common to fabricators, and being steel, relatively easy to weld, build and modify.
