Loved it! Great campground with shady private sites. Water & elec. Nice stalls. Good trails with lots of hills and deep woodsy scenery. There are some of trails marked as "roads" but they must be goat roads! The amount of trails is good for 3-4 days. You will backtrack on the same ones often. The people who own it are very helpful and friendly. Trail maps provided if you can read them. Good roads into camp, but you are in the back country of KY. We combined that trip with a trip to Big South Fork, TN. They aren't that far apart.

Thanks for the replys back...we too are going there from East Fork, IF they will answer their phone for a reservation! Any other suggestions if they don't that are in the same area? as we are heading to NY from there and don't want to go to far out of our way.

This weekend- starting today I think is their saddle clubs 34th annual 100 mile ride - so that is why you probably aren't getting an answer.
Last year the "regular" phone number was his home number and he was at the camp from daylight till dark during this ride- so I would try his cell and leave a message-

Judy, "goat roads"??? Those are our improved commuter roads in this part of the state!
Julie, you may want to search this forum because there are a couple of threads talking about Red Hill.
Red Hill is just about three hours from East Fork. As an aside if coming from East Fork to Red Hill I prefer coming up Rt 27 to Somerset and taking Rt 80 to Mt Vernon. This avoids I-75 and Jellico Mountain, which always seems to have construction or some idiot crashing his car into a rock wall just to inconvenience the masses.

great campground, great stalls, great trails.....just make sure you have plenty of electrical cord for your trailer, the boxes can quite far away depending where you are put.

Hi, I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I wanted to mention something about Timber Ridge. You can't go wrong staying there. I doubt you will find owners who are more accomodating and appreciative of your business. From cleaning out your trailer upon arrival to helping you get water and hay to your horses. They will do anything to make your stay GREAT and if you are there on a holiday weekend Lee is a master with the smoker and provides a great meal for all the campers...just bring a side dish and enjoy.
