I need to replace the tires on my dually and have gotten some quotes on Yokahoma Tires. I am not familiar with them so wanted to check and see if anyone had experiences with them.

It is a 1 ton truck and I am hoping to get around 50,000 miles on the tires. I travel by myself alot pulling the trailer and want to ensure that I get something reliable. Thx

I had Yokohama Geolander A/T's on my 250 and got about 30k out of them. They weren't quite to the wear bars but they started to get squirrely under load and there was no grip in rain or snow once they were nearing the end.I bought new tires 2 weeks ago. I ended up buying Michelin LTX A/T2's. I wasn't a huge fan of buying them, but after extensive research, Michelin has apparently fixed their quick wear issues of recent years with a newer harder rubber compound and the "Michelin Promise." These were the only A/T tires with a 60k mile warranty. I have also heard good reviews about the Michelin LTX MS tires which have more of a highway tread. I still am skeptical to see how these Michelins are going to do, but so far they are pretty nice tires.

After trying some Toyo tires on my 3500 dually, I would never recommend them. I might assume that the Yoko tires have a similar soft tread compound due to the former post saying that he got 30,000 miles out of his... If you need a great dually tire that has excellent traction and handles better than any tire you have run on your truck try Michelin LTX MS2's. This is the second set of the Michelin tires on my truck and in HARD heavy towing the first set went near 60,000 miles and still could have gone more.
Dont be put off by the tread pattern on these tires, they have great on and off road traction.
