I have a friend that needs me to move his horse, horse trailer, and lowboy trailer 180 miles. Is it legal to transport a horse in a single horse trailer on a lowboy trailer in TX? Trying to be efficient and make least amount of trips possible.

it could be safe with the proper reinforcement chains, binders, straps, etc. But I have decided to make two trips anyhow and do it "properly"
Glad to hear you are doing the right thing by making 2 trips.
Even if some reason if was legal and safe (which I hardly think it could be safe) what would you do if you had a blow out on the lowboy and was stuck on the side of the hwy for a couple of hours (in the Texas heat and humity) waiting on a sevice truck to fix the tire???? Does not seem to safe for the horse at all.....
