I know this has been discussed before, but I'm arguing with my husband about wanting to get the air ride on the used LQ we just bought. If you had the $$ to do it, would you? I haul to a lot of endurance rides where the roads to get to base camp are BUMPY for many miles. Seems like it'd be less wear and tear on the trailer in the long run too, not just beneficial for the horses.

I really don't see much of a downside to air ride suspension. Cost would be one, complexity another. The upside seems considerable. Smoother ride for the cargo, longer life on the coach.. If cost was not a consideration I would have air ride on my new trailer RIGHT NOW.

I am going to air ride my trailer this next winter, and the new trailer will be air ride. My truck is all air ride. Worth every penny. My horses spend ALOT of time in the trailer, it is sooo much smoother, and the spring rate is the same with one horse and with 4 horses. Also the kneeling capability is great.
