there have been several posts on here about Fort Valley. I have been there several times. Many trails, some very challanging. The host has good maps, the campground is nice but tight. If you have a long trailer, get the host to tell you which road to come in on as there is one from I-81 that has a kiss your butt turn and our 26 foot rig just made it without going over the edge. We have not been for two years and there may have been some improvements. With the price of desil, just too far for us to go. There are some other great places in Va. iron mountain horse camp http://www.ironmountainhorsecamp.com/horsebackriding.asp
James River state park
Grayson highlands state park
Rocky Hollow horse camp
High country horse camp in Mr Rogers recreational area
White cedars horse camp in Jefferson national forrest
Hungry horse camp , North
All these have web sites

Have you been to white cedars at Dismal in the Jefferson National forest at
Bland , Va? It is a beautiful campground, primative but has clean toliets, water throughout the campground, huge pipe corrals at each site, and over 200 miles of trails.

I go to Fort Valley regularly. I pull a 28ft trailer and have no problem. I know a few that have 34ft trailers and they do ok. The camp owners are frienda of mine and they try there best to accomadate everyone.Trails are rocky and sometimes a challenge for the novice. But over all a good place to ride. They have a website www.fortvalleyranch.com
