Just bought a repo 2007 WW 2 horse side x side bumper pull. Needed it to do some trailer loading training then maybe resale in a couple of months. This thing has the factory steel mode wheels but 4 different brand tires and 3 different sizes. I am trying to find out what the original size is or what size can be used?
It has 1 205x75R15, 1, ST235X75-15, 1 LT235X75R15 and 1 700x15. The local tire shop is trying to sell me a set of 750x15 trailer tires but I really do not want a bias ply tire, ANY IDEAS???

What are the axles rated at?...Because that will direct you to the correct tires...If the axles were rated high enough, you could put Titan ST225/75R15 E RADIAL ST II TL on it...and haul a couple of DRAFTS in it...

Smaller LT pickups use "P" series radials in the 235x75r15 size you need. Their load capabilities are similar to what a 2HBP trailer would need. Most trailer tires are speed limited, most pax and LT tires are good for at least 100 mph.
15" "C" range LT American radials are difficult to find. They would be ideal for your application.
The "P" series tires are fitted to small LT trucks and are available from many American sources.

This trailer has 2-3500lb axles with brakes on both...
I have a set of BFG LT235X75R15 that I just took off of a Ford Explorer that had only been on the SUV for about 30 days. Customer wanted a larger tire and give these back to me so the price is right, just did not know if they would be ok or not with all of the talk about trailer tires.
Guess I need to check the side wall for details on load rating too.

On my 2h bumber pull (its much older) there was not enough room in the wheel well for the width of a 235. They rubbed--in fact the rim wouldn't tighten down completely. I went with P215/75/R15. They are rated for ~2000#'s @ 44psi each which was plenty for my application. Hopefully your trailer has some more backspacing.
Our riding friends use the 7.50x15 bias ply on their bumper pull and have had zero issues.

Update to the axle size. Rechecked the vin plate on the trailer and it shows 2-2900 axles and tires size of P235X75-15XL-D. There is enough room around the tire and wheel I can put my arm between the tire and inner fender.
The set of BFG tires I have show a load rating of 2183lbs @34psi.

Are they Ps or LTs?...The only concern I'd have if they are Ps is the sidewall flex issues...though I have a 16 foot equipment trailer that has had Ps on it and I've hauled 30HP CUTs with it, without problems...but YMMV...

Hey Paul,
The BFG's that I have for FREE are "LT" tires, but the vin plate on the trailer show a P series followed by an XL on the end. (no clue what that means. But the BFG's I have show to have a higher load rating than the factory tires show to have. So based on the rating of 2183 per tire I guess I am good for 8700lbs give or take on the tires RIGHT?? And seeing the trailer weighs around 2500lbs and 2 of my horse @ 1400 each I am looking at about 5-klbs or so. (i think) You, gard and retento are the experts on this part....

The "XL" means "extra load." They are P tires that are usually put on half ton trucks or similar. They have a little more load capacity than the standard P series.
Like the others said, the LT's will serve you well.
