Okay, I was desperate to upgrade from my stock trailer to a "real" horse trailer I could add weekend quarters to. I bought this trailer without consulting my husband & without looking it over NEARLY carefully enough. Leaked like a sieve, rotten floor, LOTS of rust....A year later the floor has been replaced (hubby addressed rusty frame, pronounced it "not too bad" and welded in some additional angle iron). I recently sealed the roof seams with a peel n seal tape used on rvs. Currently working on interior removing loose paint and rust with a right angle grinder (wire brush). I have no idea as to make/model/year on this trailer....does it look familiar to anybody?

Purely a guess, but it looks like a Jackson...I only say that because I owned a 3 horse GN Jackson in 1989 and it looked just like that with the smooth sides.

Havent seen one like that so cant help you there. Just would mention dont know what you gave for it, but it really doesnt look too bad. Only thing is for Texas, it looks like it might be hot. You might consider adding a window in the rear door and some roof vents on top.

The first photo makes it look like there is a fair tilt...have you leveled the trailer yet?

Will be installing an adjustable neck in order to haul with the truck in the picture which will take care of the tilt.

Gosh, don't feel bad..... I don't think it's too bad of a trailer... Like someone said. It might be hot with no windows... Could be a super trailer for short trips.....

I'm going to have to learn to love it...as hubby has pointed out, it's mine now. It does have vents along the top, and windows on both sides, so shouldn't be too hot. Since I haul mostly to trail rides, I don't haul much when it's really hot.

I would guess it's a Jackson. I still have one and the rear door latches are exactly like yours, though keep in mind there are many old trailer companies out there. My sides and windows are considerably different than yours, therefore I'm a little skeptical about the brand. Mine was lined with plywood which tries to rot out everything metal inside of it. It's now used for hay storage.

Appreciate getting some positive feedback. I thought it was a neat looking trailer, just ended up being way more work than I wanted (or was qualified for). I'm trying to look at it as a chance to develop new skills....
