Here is our problem. We purchased a 2006 KB slant load Grand Prix bumper pull horse trailer this past summer. After using it a few times I became a bit suspicious of the ramp gate.I noticed it seemd to bow or flex more than I thought was normal.A month ago while trying to load our averaage size quarter horse(1000 pounds) The ramp completely buckled...it did not bend or warp it buckeld.I have been in contact with Kiefer who so far have offered to send me "parts" to fix it..at my cost of course.I keep trying to explain the ramp is beyond repair,I am waiting to see if they offer me some sort of discount on a replacement ramp since this was obviously a poorly designed,or poorly constructed ramp. It's would not seem to be to much to expect that the ramp would allow you to SAFELY!!! load your horse into the trailer!!!! Ihave read much about problems with other KB doors and ramps but I was under the impression that the issues were with earlier years 2000 and 2001?I will keep anyone who may be interested up to date on what KB does for me.I am hoping for at least a decent discount, they told me on our 1st call the price of the new ramp would be around 800.00 dollars plus 350.00 ish to ship it.Today they are telling me the cost of the ramp is 1200.00 and they will sell it to me for 800.00(and it will take 10 to 12 weeks to get one!!!!)....I would like to know the true retail price of the ramp if anyone can help me there. Thanks ...sorry this is so long but we are just frustrated , we really thought KB manufactured a quality product but seems we may have been wrong...trailerless in Indiana!

My trailer service person loves to talk about trailer problems and he said he had one client that never cleaned the pooh out of his trailer and must have left the ramp down in the rain several times.. because the whole back of his trailer was rotted out. The steel looked pretty good but all the wood interiors under the mats on the side, ramp and bottom were completely rotted out.
He told them they needed to get the ramp wood replaced and also start cleaning out his trailer every time he used it!!!
