Has anyone installed a water heater thru the front wall? or have seen it done? I have seen 110 air conditioner this way, my up right supports on the side walls are to close together. or would frame and tig welding  be my only other option,  thanks

You didn't say but I'm assuming this is a gooseneck trailer with the bed over the hitch. For this reason you would not want the water heater in the front wall where expelled gas fumes would collect under the hitch and penetrate into the sleeping quarters. Where as on the side the gas fumes can rise up the side of the trailer and freely disperse.

Definatly don't install under neck. The fumes could be deadly, not to mention occasionally spinning mud into the grate that covers it. Consider an on demand electric. It does not need vented, and is much smaller than a shoe box.
