It seems to me that I've read on this forum that there are two manufacturers that make "Titan trailers", so I'm not certain which type you're asking about. If you aren't certain if the trailer is steel or aluminum, you need to take the time to really ask yourself 1)what you want 2)how much you're willing to pay 3)how long you want it to last 4)features that you'll require.

We've owned a Titan stock trailer and it was a good trailer for the money. Our trailer was steel with wooden floor. What my husband really liked about it was the quality of the steel and welding - underneath it was very strong and well re-inforced. Likewise, the wood floor and all the other parts were sturdy. Titan is not a top-of-the-line trailer, but compared to many others in its price range it was much better made. I have friends with economical trailers, and they were much more noisy and flimsy than our Titan.

Ask yourself how long you want your $5000 trailer to last. Where I live you can expect a well-maintained steel trailer to remain in good shape for about 10 years, then they seem to go downhill and rust quite quickly. Of course this will really vary - if you drive over alot of gravel you're going to get chips and an increase in rusting. Likewise, road salt, dirt and the amount of use it receives will effect how quickly it rusts.

I suspect you can do better for the money, but if it's in really good shape and has the features you need, it might work really well. Good luck, but don't be in a huge rush to buy the first trailer you see. As my father so aptly put it "There's lots of (you fill in the blank - it could be horses, trailers, whatever) in the world to buy, and it's easier to buy a good one than to resell a bad one."
