I'm planning on heading to Eminence, Mo. for our annual 4th of July trail ride there.  I've heard that the senior Smith died, land was divided up and a lot of the trails are now fenced off.  I'm looking for some info from people that have been there this year.

WOW..thats a bummer...that will really effect alot of good riding there...I would frist start with checking out the website for info..www.crosscountrytrailride.com anf if there wasn't info there I would call them and ask..its your vacation, your money, I would think they would be able to address your concerns...

suggestion:  try and  get a look at the wild horses..very cool!

I was there in May and the closed trails did not cause much of a problem.  Granny Smith Hollow was fenced off as well as the area just north of camp.  Once you get to the concrete bridge past Fuzzy's house can take the trail to the left.  The only river crossing that is affected is the one just north of camp.  We just crossed back of camp and worked our way up to that crossing following the river and then cross at that spot.
