I've nevethought of that.  I always just dump an 8# bag of ice and a bucket of water to beat the S*** out of it. I assume you use bleach or for the fresh.

the local RV dealer suggested we use baking soda to freshen the tanks..dump a couple box in stool / sink and alittle water..he also suggested a couple boxes added to the fresh water tank to remove the nasty odor from the water...I do not drink or cook with the tank water..just shower/ clean up, wash dishes etc. And baking is rather cheap too..I also keep one in fridge
