Can somebody tell me the difference between these 2 models. From what I gather the event is a better made trailer but whats better about it? Also what is everybody's opinions on a 2000 Sooner LQ trailer. The particular trailer I'm looking at is a Royale. Thanks a lot.

the event is a heaver gage of alumium, it is an exiss step up.  I had a 06 exiss and hated it always had problems with the door hinges.  Rear doors especally, the escape door only had a few issues with the hinges.  I dont know about the newer hasp hinges I saw on them.  would not own one again if I dont have to.  Heard better things about the sooner.

I own a Event model and really like it..I have seen Sports and seem to be a good choice as well. Events are more expensive and heavier but there isn't anything bad about the Sport..more affordable. I have no opinion about sooners...

Just bought a Exiss Sport like new '06 stock trailer. Pretty light built compared to Event or other aluminum trailers. But, we only haul saddle horses in it and roping steers, will work fine for us. If you hauled other livestock and really use/abuse it, I doubt it would hold up. As far as the hinges, already had to replace the escape door weld on hinges with the bolt on strap hinges. Should be good to go. Replaced a 20' steel trailer with this one and really noticable weight savings which makes it pull like it is not even back there on my old '96 F150 ranch pickup.

Event has full running boards, Sport model doesn't.

Our 01 Event has never had any problems with any hinges anywhere.  Just got back to Arkansas from Wyoming, lots of construction and older highway.  Second long run to WY and a long run to CO, no issues.  It is a full 8 wide, so no running boards...ours is doing very well ....
