Anyone used pro-cushion under their mats in their trailer? I'm thinking of getting some, but wanted to hear other's thoughts on it. How well does it hold up?

We have it in our 2008 Cherokee Super Chief. I love it. Makes a huge difference in the comfort for our horses hauling long miles like we do. Really cushions and helps dissipate road shock and heat. We bought the trailer back in October and its brand new, just been sitting on a lot. A couple weeks ago I pulled the mats just where the horses stand and it was dry underneath and flooring looked great. We do bed with shavings to absorb moisture. There was a very slight indention where their hind feet rest which I think is from them shifting weight back against the wall when we brake. I bought some inexpensive anti-fatigue matting from Harbor Freight and slipped one under our rubber mats/over the Pro Cushion in the spot where their hind feet rest to absorb the extra impact from their shoes. Seems to do the trick. We hauled 800 miles a few weeks ago, over 600 this past weekend and next weekend will haul another 1200 so ours gets alot of use. I like the added cushion and shock absorbtion for their front tendons.

Thanks Patti! For our closer shows we haul between 150 and 300 miles. We'll be taking the 2200 mile trek to TX in October, so I thought it would be worth it to ge the pro-cushion. Even for the shorter rides I'm sure they'll be more comfortable. Thanks for the response! I think I'll definitely have to get some.

Not sure about where you're at, but here in Oregon there's a local dealer that gets it. If I get some I will get it through them. www.millertrailersales.com is the dealer website.

I put them in my trailer before going to from Wa to TX a couple years ago. I love them! I got them from Valley Vet but don't think they are carrying them anymore.

How many days did it take you to go from WA to TX? We're hoping to do it in two days; we've got three different drivers and want to do a short layover for one night. I have known a couple people who have done it that way, but hear most people do it in 3 days. Trying to shorten it because we all work...

We have installed it in customers trailers for several years. Most everyone loves it; including my wife, as I have it in our own trailers. Our dealership sells it and installs it. You can order it by calling us at 800 659-4051 (Midway Trailer Sales).
The only thing I would caution you on with using this product; make sure you pull your mats and the "cushion" product periodically, as it will trap urine between the cushion and the floor. If you don't like pulling your mats and routinely cleaning your floor of your horse area; this product might not be for you.
