I have a small hole in the fiberglass roof of my horse trailer. I can get a fiberglass repair kit but I am concerned that the roof will take my weight on it. What is the best way to repair a small hole in the center of the roof? (I can't reach it just standing on a ladder)
Would a piece of plywood on the top help spread out the weight?

Plywood or you could put a ladder on each side and plank acrossed it and then no weight would be on the roof. You might also ask the maunfacturer what they suggest

I find the easiest way to support a roof if it is open on the inside, is to brace it from the inside. The same piece of plywood and a 2 x 4 cut to length from the floor to roof, will easily support your weight. Cut the stud slightly longer (+1/2") and wedge it into place.
If the glass is torn, you will need a repair kit. If it only has a singular small hole, JB Weld will make an easy, long lasting repair.
