I agree flatlandphilly All people want to do in here is attack anymore. Im getting a bit tired of it. A goose neck horse trailer is not a tractor trailer!! Do you need a CDL to drive a gooseneck?
Maybe you do, maybe not, depends on what and how you're hauling... Got your farm name on the side of your truck and or trailer??? If may make a difference.....

REG to funny! I stopped reading this post a few back (how many discussions can we have on safety) But the truth is I stole that link from YOU! You posted it on a NE BB where I go by a similar handle. :)
A few months back in the summer we discussed NY and other states pulling over horse trailers for general inspections And it turned out in the threads that commercial plates (In Mass a dually gets them no matter what) Signs on trailers and other key give-a-ways that you are hauling for money place you in a different class other than the weekend warrior when the environmental police and county Mounties pull you over.
Even winnings earned at an event put you in a different class of responsibilities.
I heard that is why my LQ has camper plates; somehow it removes me from a certain CDL weight class.Remember I am not supposed to travel certain highways or go thru tunnels with propane tanks.
My trailer is well painted with DOT tape and marker lights. I added it to an old BP and our BP Super Chief came well covered also.
