Ok....Our trailer hd tv works in our house but not in the trailer. Thinking maybe the trailer antenna isn't working due to....? The antenna appears to be hooked up and fine. Can someone give me some clues as to why????

Check if the booster for your antenna is on. It should be located on the panel where you attach the cable. I didn't know about it until I was at the dealers getting my elec. jack installed. Another customer had your same complaint and dealer showed her (and me) where it was. It worked instantly.

Have your checked every connection? How many miles are you from the transmitting towers? Usually 65 miles is the limit for a antenna used for residential. In the right spot it is about 50 miles is the limit for the batwing type for RV use

Another thought, do you need to program the tv? Sometimes if they are without electricity for a long enough period they lose their programing. If it is already HD you shouldn't need a converter box.

We have the batwing antenna style about 9 years old. Got a smaller flat screen TV for the LQ. After the digital switch was concerned about needing a converter box. But, hook it up, turn on the booster, do a channel search, and it works. So it must have a digital tuner. The channel search, lists how many digital channels, and how many analog channels it is picking up. Are you in a fringe area for reception? Could it be that there is just not a strong enough signal?
