A Sundowner 8010 4H LQ parked next to us at a show yesterday... It was a "sunrise" edition. What's the difference between a sunrise, sunlite, sierra, signature series, siesta, grand this and grand that, etc...? Something to do with what and or who installed the LQ and how it's equipped? If I remember correctly, it was an all white skinned trailer.

The Sunrise was a lower dollar unit where the LQ was built at the main trailer plant in Ok. rather than the regular interior factory that used to be in Elkhart, IN. Look at it closely, and you'll see a number of differences.

Sundowner LQ model designations go like this: Siesta was a model built in the 90's and early 2000's in a six or eight foot shortwall package. It wasn't quite as fancy as the Sierra models which were built in the same time frame. Sierra's were built in 10, 12. 14 and 16 foot short wall models. Any Sundowner LQ model with the designation of GRAND before the model means the trailer is slideout equipped. Signature Series is there current models designation on their top of the line models. These models can come in sizes from 8 ft short walls all the way up to 24 foot shortwalls. The Horizon is a model that Sundowner has had out for just a couple of years. They cost less than the Signature Series, but yet have many of the same amenities. They come in sizes up thru 14' short walls. They even have Grand Horizon models.
The Sunrise models are no longer available, and have been replaced by the upgraded Horizon models.
ALL Sundowner LQ trailers are built at the home plant in Coleman, Oklahoma.

Ours is a 2004 Sundowner 8010 Signature Series 3 HORSE it has soft touch walls and ceilings standard, upgrade wood trim, upgraded wood pocket bathroom door, upgrade fixtures, just to name a few. I done weeks of research on Sundowner Packages when we bought ours last fall as a repo.
I even contacted Sundowner and they sent me a copy of the origianl build sheet with all of the options that was added. Thats we I found out that our was build as a show trailer for the San Antonio Live Stock Show in 2004.
