I came across Ponderosa's New Bumper Pull Trailer (2 horse - 17 ft) with A/C and Bunk Beds. Can you'll give me your opinions on these? How well do they hold up, etc.

Thanks,
Have not had a new one, but did have a 95 model gooseneck a couple of years ago. They are a low end trailer but mine seamed to be pretty well built and solid, nothing like the S&H and CM trailers. Nothing fancy, but it was low priced too.... Would buy one again.

When we purchased our 3 H stock combo BP, we looked at Ponderosa trailers. Our next door neighbor had just purchased a new steel 2 H, and at the time liked it.
The dealer had several on the lot. Many were already rusting. The welds, particularly in the roof sections were incomplete, and in places you could actually see daylight through the open seams. The hardware, fit and finish were lacking in quality.
We passed on this brand and bought a competitor. Our neighbour's infatuation lasted only a few more months and the following year they bought a different brand.

We had an older 2H Ponderosa that we'd traded a tall, narrow WW for.It was a solid trailer,as steel trailers go,they will all rust, but, ours had nowhere near the problems that have been mentioned on here.
We sold it after about 3 years for what we'd paid for it in order to buy a trailer that had a dressing room.

Bought a bumper pull stock new in 2000 used it for several years and actually traded down to an older gooseneck Ponderosa that had been converted to a 2h straight load with a small sleeper that we used for about 5 years (had it painted in that 5 year span). I traded it last year for an older ww and a young qh for my grandaughter....I now have my all aluminum cm but sometimes I really miss my little ponderosa it took us on a lotta weekend and weeklong trailrides!!!

I actually love mine but it's been tricked out a little since I bought it. Granted, it's not a high end trailer but for the money, it works really well for me. I have the gooseneck stock trailer with a 6 x 6 dressing room that I turned into a weekender. Had my trailer guy wire it and put in a air conditioner. I still don't have $5k in it but was offered $5500 for it a few months ago. I'd sell it for that but I can't find anything else in that price range with that size DR.
So, I say as long as you know exactly what you're buying, you might be as happy as I am with one.

I bought my Ponderosa 2 horse stock combo brand new not that long ago. Last year when my husband was putting in a new floor we found out that it had inadequate metal underneath the floor for my part draft horse. We added metal. I also found out that it didn't have any type of primer under the paint. It is about 4 years old. The tires they put on it were are car passenger tires and blew out sitting in the pasture. We just sold it to my friend and hope she'll have a long life with it i hate to say much bad but this was our situation, and alot of negative stuff is said about alot of trailers but i ran into a lady at a restaurant who had simaliar problems. So just we careful. We just bought a used LQ and love it , even though i read alot of bad stuff about the type i bought. After I bought it of course lol.
