I was wondering which trails are the best to ride in this area?  We are heading to Bryson City, NC in a little over a week. Any trails to avoid?  We don't want to ride anything really steep or dangerous.  Thanks.

Hi,
I am going on the trip with the Tom Toms...we are staying at Deep Creek Stables. Here is the website: http://www.greatsmokies.com/horsecamp

I, for one, can not wait!! If anybody can give us info about trails..we would really appreciate it.

Deep Creek Stables are wonderful! James is as friendly as they come. We've stayed there several times. James has lived there all his life and tell you what trails go where and what they're like. I have issues with narrow trails and James sent me in the right direction. Just be forewarned, you will meet hikers with horse-eating backpacks (at least that's what my mare thought)
