Hi, I am a somewhat new poster to all this but would love to hear if someone else had this experience with their truck and what you did about it.I have a 2006 F-350 SRW V10 gas and I tow a 31 ft. total length trailer that weighs about 10,000 lbs. Anyway if I tow for a longer period of time my ABS light comes on in the truck and stays on until I stop and turn the truck back of and then it seems to go away. I also have a integrated brake control system in the truck and I have noticed when the ABS light comes on the bars don't show up to let me know how much braking I'm doing, however it does not seem to affect the braking ability of the truck and trailer. Anyone have any ideas????

You might search for some posts on the integrated brake controller. There was one that was having a similar issue and I think it turned out to be a ground issue between the truck and trailer.

Do you notice anything else? tact working right, od light flashing (if is an auto). Either way more than likely going to be the rear abs sensor on top of the center section on rear end housing, it is only a $20 or $30 item ans a 10mm bolt that holds it on. Most Fords are really bad about this.

What type of plug are u using? Do not use a 7 to 6 adapter on the intergrated brake controls. Are u pluging into a factory plug or aftermarket plug in the bed? The problem comes from bad ground or a short in the brake line. I am starting to find brake lines that have chaffed passing thru the axles from one side to the other as a new cause for the brake fault. The brake controller is very sensitive to any type of voltage draw.

Hitch and go, I'm plugging into the factory installed plug on the hitch of my truck. I don't have a plug inside the bed of my truck it's still where the bumper pull trailer would normally be. Do you think that I'm getting a bad connection there? My ABS light is still on inside the truck even though my trailer is no longer connected. Do you think that it is unsafe to tow with that light on? Thanks so much for the info.
