has anyone ever used truck wheels on their horse trailer or is the backspacing way different ? I ended up with a set of chevrolet truck wheels that are 6 lug and look to be the same as our trailer and they are nicer looking wheels so I was wondering if they would work? thanks

If they fit, they should work. If they are aluminum "mags", you probably will need a different set of lug nuts. Do not use a tapered lug nut on a shouldered application.

I also wanted to try these since they are 16" and it seems easier to come by the heavier load rating tires in a 16.Right now I have 10k lbs of tire rating wich is enough but the trailer is actually the trailer is rated for 12k.Right now we only carry my wifes trail horse and camping gear but hope to add a horse for me soon.thanks for the help.

Yeah, I've run pickup (?Ford?) 8 bolts on my trailer. They worked better than the chrome "spokes" someone had put on it. Didn't stick out as far. Actually still run them on a flatbed I built. Works fine!!!
