They use to be a higher quality trailer from what I hear. How are they now? What about the 2006 year? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. The Cimarron we wanted already sold and we are looking at a 2006 Featherlite.

I have an 05 3 Horse Slant, 6ft shortwall, small LQ.  Owned it for 2 years. Nice trailer.. welds look great. (my son is a welder) Lots of floor support. Granted I have not used mine hard... I think it would hold up to whatever you want to do with it. It pulls decent, not the lightest trailer in the world, but that tells me it is well made. Door hinges, windows ect well made in my opinion and everything is user friendly. I like that I can reach the latches easily on the drop down windows. HEAVY floor mats.. a booger for me to drag around, but they are good mats. If ya need any specific info feel free to ask.

I had an 02 that was built extremely well. We would have bought another if we could have found what we wanted for the price. I have a friend that is a commercial hog hauler and he won't buy anything but a Featherlite.

Of course it might help that the factory is only 50 miles away.

We are on our second Featherlite lq. When we went bigger, we knew it had to be a Featherlite. When my son was trailer shopping, again another Featherlite. We try to camp about one to two times per month in riding season and pull them out west to the mountains up some pretty rugged country. We are very pleased. Our trailers are 2004 models. I know they are not a Bloomer or Platinum but they are not the cheapest trailer made on the market either. Whatever brand you buy, look over it very good. Look at the welds, underneath it, under the mats in the back, the hinges and do the same for inside.
