Just curious.  Wonder if they work well.

I think they are at sphitch.com

They've been talked about here early last year on HTW. Don't remember right off hand, if anyone here is using one.

Here's the old thread, thought I remembered it... http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/forum/thread-view.asp?threadid=8691

I have an air hitch I was wondering with having air ride and something like the sphitch if it would ride better for my horses.  I do know that without the air hitch we broke two surround sound speakers from underneath the cabinets in the Lq. They are money back if your not satisfied.  I spoke to a dealer about it and he said no one had ever returned one.  They sure are not as bulky as myairhitch.com

Does anyone know how much the star performance hitches cost, and do they work on flat beds with sunken balls?

I have a friend that runs Signiture Living Quarters Conversions and they also sell Star Hitches. I pulled one of his demo trailers back from a show with the hitch. Trailer seems to rock back and forth and I thought the ride was worse. Please note that we were not loaded, but still were around 10k. Also, my flatbed had just enough clearance in the well where the trailer ball is. Might be concern on some flatbeds. IMO

Well, for what it's worth, I like mine. 6H 10' lq using F550 to pull. I think it has smoothed out the trailer ride. You can leave practically anything on a countertop and it's still there when you get home. I feel it does just what the company says. I've seen some people say my trailer may be too heavy for one but it seems to work fine. Just my opinion!!!!

I would like to see in action or use one myself, seems like alot of moving back and forth when taking off or stopping. Might not be back with a lighter load but with say 15-klbs 16

I can't feel it moving much at start and stop. I've crawled in the back seat to watch it going down the road while my daughter drives and you really don't see it moving very much. It's just enough to take the "shock" out. We have some very rough RR tracks to cross about 40 miles from home (they have rough crossing signs on them) and you can't even tell when the trailer goes over them now. The movement on the hitch is very subtle. I'm very pleased with it's performance. No I don't sell them!!
