This may have been discussed already - I didn't do a search.  I don't have a TV in my trailer but for those who do and do NOT have a satellite dish ... you will need the analog - digital converter for your horse trailer, camper, etc.

But will you still need a converter box if your TV is a digital/HD TV??

I'm curious about the antenna.  I have a 2005 trailer, so the antenna dates back to probably 2004/2005.  I just put a TV in last year so should be fine on the TV.  But does the antenna need to be upgraded?

If you already have a digital TV you do not need a converter. You may need to have the TV do a search or reprogram it to get the digital signals (ex.-channel 3.2 instead of channel 10).

No but they do make digital antennas that will receive the signal better, since digital signal does not travel as far as the analog signals do.

We installed one of the new converter boxes on our old TV and it worked better than ever! We picked up many more channels and better reception.

Most of the antennas are fine. But you will need to buy a converter box for any analog tV's.  Which is one more piece of hard you need to haul along and power off your generator.  I've yet to see an Analog to Digital converter that is 12v
