I have no doubt the "industry" will/has addressed the Allison/exchange problem.  However I have yet to see in writing where Allison has approved that method.  Knowing what I do about Allison, I will follow their instructions......as opposed to the guy who makes the fluid exchange machines telling me it will be fine.

Besides Ive talked to far to many people getting 250,000+ miles on their units following the Allison approved method to worry about wasting any extra time/money having my truck serviced at a shop.
