We recently purchased a 98 4 Star 4-horse trailer and have had 2 blow-outs on the passenger side.  Took the trailer to my mechanic and he said I will have to replace the axle.  It's not bent but the bushings are bad..??  Does anyone know where I can get a new axle reasonably priced for this brand/year of trailer?

What bushings?

I assume we're talking about a Dexter Torq-Flex axle?

Not sure what part of MO you are in, but there are a couple of 4-Star dealers in MO--one on each side of the state that could probably give you a second opinion if you're interested.  First of all, you need to find out what kind axle your trailer has on it.  You can also call the 4-Star factory with the VIN number and they can probably tell you what kind it is.  If you want your local mechanic to do the work, I believe Redneck Trailer Supply carries axles as well as a few other parts places, or you can order them through the factory.  Feel free to give us a call and we'll be glad to help you out however we can.
