With 7000lb axes I'd sure be looking at "G" 14 ply tires.
The "E" rated 10 ply tires usually go with the 6000lb axles.
Make sure your rims are rated for 110psi if you use the "G" rated tires. I recently had a dealer tell me that was only concern for aluminum wheels. That steel rims would work with "G" tire at the higher pressure. But I'm not sure I believe him

Changing tire ratings is not a trivial task.Going from E-rated tires to G-rated tires on the same rims is not reasonable. G-rated tires use air pressures up to 110 pis. E-rated rims are good only for 80 psi. If you only inflate G-rated tires to 80 psi, you have not gained any weight carrying capacity.Alcoa makes a 17.5" rim that fits 7K axle rated hubs with stud centering. So you can have 17.5" rim on 7K axle rated hubs. But then you still have 7K axle rated hubs. To put in perspective, a 7K axle rated hub is good for 3500 lbs, an H-rated tire is good for 5000 lbs. So the tire has more capacity but the hub doesn't. Not much of a gain.We could get by with the Alcoa 17.5" rim with the 7K bolt pattern but then we would have a spare rim problem. We would have to use a 7th Alcoa rim for the spare.Recap:Going for E-rated tires to G-rated requires a rim change.Having good tires is not a low cost venture but then we have a major investment sitting on those tires. That is an cost we will not skimp on.

7000# axle.... If the rims were rated at 110 psi, I would go with a Goodyear G614RST, 235-85R-16lrG, rated at 3750#.... If the rims were rated at 80 psi, I look at a set of Michelin XPS Rib, 235-85R-16lrE, rated at 3042. Both tires have a steel casing/carcass and hold up good to the abuses of "trailering".
